Railway Station in Bangkok
The railway station in Bangkok operates four lines that all run into Bangkok. The railway runs both air conditioned and non air-conditioned trains. The main railway station in Bangkok serves most of the long-distant routes.
Facilities at Bangkok Railway Station

It is advised by the Railway Station that you book your long-distant train tickets in advance.
Noi Station across the river in Thonburi serves Kanchanaburi and a couple of other destinations to the south so travellers should check first which department they should departure from.
Rail Services in Bangkok
The four rail lines that run from the railway station run from Chiang Mai in the north.
Nong Khai in the northeast of Bangkok.
Pattaya in the east and from Surat Thani and Malaysia in the south of Bangkok.
The direct trains take from around 3 hours 40 minutes to Pattaya.
The direct train will take about 12 hours to Chaiang Mia and will take approximately 21 hours and 10 minutes to Butterworth. There is a Thailand Pass that is available to buy and is valid for up to 20 days in second and third class.
Transportation to the city of Bangkok
Each of the railway stations in Bangkok are served by a number of busses to the city. The subway that runs in Bangkok starts at Hualampong Station and the National Stadium Skytrain station is also close by.
